ENHP Alum and John G. Martin Scholar Named CFOO of Watkinson

Julia Winer '05, an alumna of the University of Hartford's College of Education, Nursing, and Health Professions and a 2022 Anchor Award Recipient, has been named chief financial and operations officer at the Watkinson School just next door to the University. 

In addition to her undergraduate degree, Winer also earned an MS in international and comparative education from the University of Oxford thanks to a John G. Martin Scholarship from UHart. She told her story on the University's Hawk to Hawk podcast this summer.

 

Winer has been a member of Watkinson’s board of trustees for five years, most recently serving as vice president. As CFOO, she will provide strategic financial and operational leadership and is part of the senior leadership team. 

Winer comes to Watkinson School by way of MD Ally, where she was the vice president of operations. She also has an MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business, where she has taught as an adjunct.
