Farewell Celebration for Leonard Bretton

After almost 25 years at The Hartt School, Leonard Bretton will be leaving to take a position as a professional services consultant with CollegeNET. His last day will be Friday, July 28, 2023. Leonard has held many positions at Hartt, starting as a Hartt admission assistant and an instructor of saxophone in the Community Division and ultimately serving as Hartt’s Facilities Manager and the University’s 25Live Administrator. Leonard earned his master's degree in Saxophone Performance during his time at Hartt. The University recognized Leonard’s importance to Hartt and the University community when it presented him with an Outstanding Staff Member award in 2018. “Leonard’s can-do attitude and desire to help people has been a positive force here at The Hartt School. If there was a way, Leonard could always figure it out,” says Hartt School Dean Dale Merrill. Leonard's dedication, expertise, and significant institutional knowledge will be missed campuswide.
Please join us at a farewell gathering to wish Leonard well in his future endeavors and to thank him for his many years of service to Hartt and UHart. The gathering will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., at the North Terrace, Fuller Music Center, between Millard Circle and the waterfall. The location in the event of rain is Sukman Foyer (Fuller Music Center).
