On behalf of the Benefits Task Force, I am happy to announce that the Adoption Assistance Benefit will be increasing effective April 1, 2024.
Currently, any full-time faculty or staff member is eligible for up to $5,000 reimbursement per adoption, to a maximum of $10,000 for the lifetime of the employee, or combined if both parents are employees of the University.
Effective April 1, 2024, the benefit will be increasing to $7,500 per adoption, to a maximum of $15,000 for the lifetime of the employee (or combined if both parents are employed by the University).
In the coming weeks, the Employment Manual, associated policy statements, and application materials will be updated to reflect the new limits and implementation date.
