Celebrate Contributions of African American Nurses to the Army Nurse Corps
Nurses in the military had to overcome barriers to achieve full status in the armed forces. For African American nurses, the barriers historically associated with race made their path to full equality in the military even more difficult. This presentation describes the path of several African American nurses as they overcame barriers to achieve equal status in the Army. The presentation will be on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 3:10 p.m. to 3:50 p.m., in Wilde Auditorium.
