At the recent 2025 Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) annual awards event, nearly two dozen members of the Hartford Art School community won awards for their creative contributions and projects.
This event recognizes excellence from the creative community across the state. For a number of years, current students and alumni from the Hartford Art School have walked away with numerous awards, and faculty members have also been honored. Last year, longtime faculty member Michael Scricco was inducted in the CADC Hall of Fame.
This year, additional HAS faculty members were recognized for design contributions. John Nordyke won an Excellence award, and Kevin Sepe ’99 (adjunct faculty member and senior designer in UHart’s Office of Marketing and Communication) picked up awards for the Hartford Art School viewbook, which won both a Silver and Judge's Award.
Additionally, nearly two dozen HAS students and alumni were honored, receiving numerous Gold, Silver, and Excellence awards. The current HAS students receiving awards are majoring in a range of areas of study including Illustration, Visual Communication Design (VCD), and other subjects. Recent graduate Millie Hamlin ’25 was this year’s scholarship winner.
