The Harrison Libraries are rolling out a new search platform, called Primo. Primo will allow you to discover almost everything the library offers—books, articles, eBooks, music, videos, dissertations, and more—all in one search! Please see this guide for more information, including examples from other universities.
A preliminary “beta” version will go live by Friday, Jan. 16. Your checkout records and holds/recalls will be tracked in this new system. In the days and weeks after go-live, and throughout the spring semester, we will be assessing and improving functionality, so please watch for those refinements.
We welcome your feedback! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, email the Harrison Libraries Director Alicia Hansen at alhansen@hartford.edu or Systems Librarian Ben Ide at bide@hartford.edu. For music-related issues, contact Allen Library Head Tracey Rudnick at rudnick@hartford.edu.
Important note: The Harrison Libraries' legacy catalog will remain linked on our library web site until the end of June 2026, but checkout statuses will no longer be updated, and you will no longer have access to renewals or holds/recalls there. If you have links to individual library catalog items in your syllabi, Blackboard courses, citation managers, or other locations, you should update those links before the end of June. Separate links to “A to Z” lists of our eJournal Titles and Databases will remain accessible on our library pages.
