After seven incredible years as Director of Jewish Student Life & Hillel at the University of Hartford, Lisa Langsner is moving on to her next chapter, and we couldn’t let her go without honoring the extraordinary impact she’s made on our campus community.
Lisa’s leadership has been nothing short of transformational. She spearheaded a multi-year strategic plan that strengthened Jewish life on campus, led a phenomenal capital campaign to establish the Zachs Hillel Center (the first dedicated space for Jewish students), and oversaw its construction from vision to reality. Under her guidance, annual giving and the Hillel endowment grew considerably, ensuring long-term sustainability for generations to come.
Beyond fundraising and strategy, Lisa has been a tireless advocate for students: championing kosher dining options, inclusive housing, holiday accommodations, and antisemitism training for faculty and staff. She launched innovative engagement programs that fostered interfaith and cross-cultural partnerships, mentored countless student leaders, and built a vibrant, welcoming community that reflects the very best of the University of Hartford.
Lisa’s dedication, vision, and heart have left an indelible mark on our campus. Please join us as we celebrate her remarkable contributions and wish her well on her next adventure!
