Students, welcome to the Spring 2026 semester! As you prepare for the start of classes, please keep the following information in mind regarding your Blackboard courses:
- Official Start Date: Spring semester classes officially begin on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026.
- Course "Open" Dates: You may notice a system date of Jan. 7 listed. This is simply the earliest date faculty can choose to open their courses; it is not an automatic opening date.
- Faculty Discretion: Courses do not open automatically. Each instructor manages their own course launch. Your professors will notify you directly via email or announcement once their specific course site is available for you to view.
What should you do? If you don't see your courses listed yet, don't worry! Faculty are currently finalizing their materials. If a course is still "unavailable" by the first day of classes (Jan. 21), please reach out to your instructor at that time.
