A message to the UHart campus community from Vice President of Student Success and Dean of Students Aaron Isaacs:
I am pleased to share that after a thoughtful and engaging search process, we have selected Leah Lorber as our next Fain Family Director of Jewish Life at the University of Hartford. Leah will officially begin her role on April 6.
Leah stood out throughout the search, making a strong and lasting impression on the committee and members of our community. Her passion for student engagement, her commitment to building inclusive and vibrant Jewish communities, and her ability to connect meaningfully with students were evident at every stage.
Leah brings a wealth of experience in cultivating Jewish life on campus, with a strong track record of mentoring student leaders, developing high-impact programs, and building partnerships that enhance the student experience. She has led initiatives that engage students in Jewish learning, culture, and community, while also working collaboratively across campus to ensure Jewish life is integrated into the broader student experience.
We are especially excited to welcome Leah home as a proud UHart alumna. Her connection to this institution, combined with her professional experience and vision, positions her well to lead and grow Jewish life on our campus.
Leah will build on the strong foundation already in place and continue the exciting work happening within Jewish Life and in and around the Zachs Hillel Center—creating opportunities for students to connect, explore identity, and find belonging.
Please join me in welcoming Leah back to UHart. We look forward to the impact she will have on our community.
Warm regards,
Aaron
