Academic Assessment Reports Due: Friday, May 15

As we approach the end of Academic Year 2025–26, we are sharing a friendly reminder that Essential Learning Outcomes (ELOs) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) assessments are due on Friday, May 15 in Watermark's Planning & Self-Study (P&SS) assessment software.

If you are a faculty member assigned to work on the Written Communication ELO assessment in Spring 2026, please make sure you have a meeting scheduled with Brandon Daily, the primary contact for the assigned writing coders. Assigned faculty members working on Written Communication ELO assessments may receive extensions on their assessment reports, as writing coders are working on assessing a large volume of papers towards the end of the semester.

If faculty need a copy of the ELO templates (like the AAC&U rubrics, the Reporting-Scoring form, or the Closing the Loop form), please refer to the following SharePoint link: Essential Learning Outcomes (ELO) 2025–26 Templates

If you are a faculty member who has been assigned to work on an ELO or PLO assessment report for 2025-26 and you would like any assistance with Planning & Self-Study (P&SS), feel free to reach out to Natalia Zagula from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE).

If you are an assigned faculty member who prefers to work on the academic assessment independently, the following links will take you to resources to help compile the assessment reports:

We appreciate everyone for their hard work and participation in the academic assessment process, especially as we prepare for the 5-year New England Commission for Higher Education (NECHE) Accreditation visit in November 2026.

Questions? Please reach out to OIE at assess@hartford.edu.
