UHart Associate Professor of Psychology EB Caron, PhD placed first among Connecticut residents in the Connecticut State Speed Jigsaw Puzzle Championship held on June 13, in Cromwell, Connecticut. She completed a 500-piece puzzle in 51 minutes and 25 seconds. Her team placed second in the state, finishing a 1000-piece puzzle in 45 minutes and 13 seconds.
Dr. Caron has been speed puzzling since 2019, when she first participated in a library puzzle competition in Waterbury. She was profiled this year in H Magazine, and shares her love of speed puzzling with students in a First Year Seminar course, Science of Speed Jigsaw Puzzling.
