WWUH 91.3 FM has once again been recognized by the Connecticut Broadcasters Association (CBA), receiving the College Radio Excellence Award at the organization's annual awards ceremony Oct. 7 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, Connecticut.
The honor marks the third consecutive year that the University of Hartford's community service radio station has earned CBA recognition. The station was honored for Best College Programming in 2025 and as the state's top non-commercial station in 2024.“We are thrilled that our peers at the Connecticut Broadcasters Association have chosen to honor WWUH 91.3 FM (one of a dozen college stations in the state) with an award for Excellence in Broadcasting,” notes WWUH General Manager John Ramsey. “For close to 60 years, the all-volunteer staff at the station has strived to present programming that is second to none, and I feel that this award proves that we have succeeded.”
On the air since 1968, WWUH offers a diverse mix of music and public affairs programming, produced by volunteers and supported largely by listeners. Its latest recognition continues a record of broadcasting excellence that has distinguished the station for nearly six decades.
