You might not know it from the bone-chilling temperatures outside, but the University of Hartford is already looking ahead to spring—and fall.

UHart has a full slate of events on tap to pave the way for the incoming Class of 2030. They kick off with the first of two in-person events for UHart’s annual Scholarship Competition.

Each year, students who have high academic success are invited to compete for scholarships ranging up to full tuition. The University scholarships are renewable for four years when the recipient maintains a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

Students must attend one of two in-person events, which this year will be held Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 22. Students must also complete an essay and participate in an interview with a faculty member. Read more about previous winners.

The competition is open to students who have been accepted into the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, and the Barney School of Business. Separate scholarship programs are offered by The Hartt School and Hartford Art School.

Also starting in February will be visit days for accepted students in all of UHart’s colleges. And on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, April 26, the University will celebrate the incoming class with its Accepted Student Days. Students will have the opportunity for an inside look into life at UHart, followed by college-specific programming, a resource fair, campus tours, and one-to-one counseling sessions with the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Registration information for these events can be found on the Accepted Student Events page of our website, so check back often for updated information.
