The Summer Housing Application will open on April 1.

The deadline to apply for summer housing is May 1. Completed Summer Housing Applications will be reviewed and, if necessary, information verified by faculty and/or staff members. Students will be notified the week of May 8 to confirm they meet summer housing requirements.

Please allow up to five business days for a response after submitting a Summer Housing Application after May 1.

SUMMER HOUSING STUDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN A SUMMER MEAL PLAN AND SUMMER ON-CAMPUS FOOD OPTIONS ARE LIMITED.

  • All University of Hartford and Office of Residential Life Rules and Regulations remain in effect during break periods—including the Visitor Policy. Any student violating any policy may be asked to leave campus immediately and is subject to further conduct action.
  • Access to spaces, offices, and services may be limited or unavailable at times during the summer. For more information regarding a specific office's availability, please visit their website or contact them directly for more information. Please plan accordingly and in advance.
  • Please be advised Facilities may find it necessary to enter rooms to complete routine maintenance, make repairs or updates, and to clean.
  • There will be a limited number of Residential Life student leaders and staff present on campus. Public Safety will remain open.

Students requesting summer housing will be assigned a space in the Village Apartments or F Neighborhood, as space allows. Single-occupancy rooms are limited, especially in the Village. Once the Village is filled, students will be assigned to rooms in F Neighborhood— with access to a community kitchen.

Summer housing rates vary based on room type and location.

Students may be required to move multiple times and must move when requested.

Summer housing assignments will be available in the housing portal. Please note that some summer housing assignments may not be available until check-in to best meet student requests and limit multiple moves.

It takes several weeks to clean and prepare spaces so students can move from their spring to summer housing assignments and summer to fall housing assignments. Current students should be prepared to move to their summer housing assignment by May 31. Summer housing students should be prepared to move to their fall housing assignment beginning August 1.
