Winter Storm Advisory

Due to an impactful winter storm affecting our area, the University of Hartford will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25, and Monday, Jan. 26. This includes Harrison Libraries.

In-person Hartt School auditions that were scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, have been rescheduled.

The Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, is canceled.

Hillyer College Associate Professor Joyce Ashuntantang Leads Discussion With World-Renowned Author

Last week, Hillyer College Associate Professor of English Joyce Ashuntantang moderated a conversation with world-famous author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, as part of the West Hartford READS initiative. 

All 600 tickets for the event held at Louise Duffy School sold out within an hour, making it the highest attended event in the library's history.

West Hartford READS! is a town-wide initiative that encourages people to read the works of one notable author, and culminates each year with the author visiting the town in October.
