Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering Mary Arico Named Director for the CT Space Grant Consortium
Please join the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) in congratulating Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering Mary (Cater) Arico who was recently named the Director for the CT Space Grant Consortium. She had been serving as the Interim Director since Hisham Alnajjar, previous Director, began his new role as the Dean of the College last summer.
The CT Space Grant program is one of the most significant programs at the University, having brought in over five million dollars under Alnajjar’s leadership since 2012. As the lead institution in the consortium, the University of Hartford coordinates the disbursement of these funds to student and faculty researchers at 21+ institutions across the state. Cater’s application to NASA for 2.8 million dollars was also recently awarded, securing the program through June 2024.
