This past January, CM&B (Construction Management & Builders, Inc.) hosted a group of architecture students enrolled in the Materials and Methods of Construction and Documentation (ADT 232) course for an exciting opportunity to experience an active construction site. The class, led by adjunct faculty member Ryan F. Schicker, AIA NCARB, was able to apply their knowledge and understanding from the studio to a real-world project.

Schicker says it was a great visit because the students open up their minds while visiting firms and sites. "The ability to touch concrete as it cures, see steel columns and beams set in place and watch heavy equipment move tons of soil embeds the concepts we discuss in class day in and day out," he says.
