Due to an impactful winter storm affecting our area, the University of Hartford will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25, and Monday, Jan. 26. This includes Harrison Libraries.

In-person Hartt School auditions that were scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, have been rescheduled.

The Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, is canceled.

Professor Previews Secretary of the State Race on WTIC

While it may not be as attention-grabbing as other races this election season, the Secretary of the State race is still an important one to watch, Professor Bilal Sekou said on WTIC’s Brian and Company radio show this week. 

Sekou, associate professor of political science at the University of Hartford’s Hillyer College, discussed candidate platforms, voting procedures, and more with host Brian Shactman.

With voting procedures up for discussion across the country, and continued debates on early voting, the office is receiving more attention from the public, as well as community organizations.
