The Hartt Music History Forum Welcomes Pulitzer Prize-Winning Author and Critic Tim Page

The Hartt Music History Forum is thrilled to present a conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning author/critic Tim Page.

Tim Page is Professor Emeritus of Musicology at the University of Southern California. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism for his writings about music at the Washington Post. He is the author or editor of more than 20 books (including Tim Page on Music, The Glenn Gould Reader, Selected Letters of Virgil Thomson, and The Hip Pocket Guide to New York), and was the founder and creative director for the record label BMG Catalyst. In the late 20th century, he was the host of “New, Old and Unexpected” on WNYC in New York, where he presented hundreds of radio premieres. He grew up in Storrs, CT and now lives in New York, while traveling in the Balkan countries.
