Hartt’s annual Collage Concert weaves music, dance, and theater into a continuous performance that showcases all the offerings at the school. The event celebrates the multitude of talent at The Hartt School and offers the opportunity to experience the full range of performing arts disciplines.

This year’s Artistic Director, Dale Merrill (dean of The Hartt School), shared his thoughts. “The Collage Concert is like no other Hartt School performance. My goal, serving for the first time as its Artistic Director, was to highlight the many unique projects and small ensembles of Hartt’s Music, Dance, and Theatre students. Performances of this nature are presented throughout the year, but many people don’t get the chance to see them.”

The concert is also Hartt’s gift to the community, and as Merrill describes it, [the concert] “reminds me of a fine box of chocolates – there is little something for everyone’s taste. Another wonderful element of this concert is it is one of the few times all Hartt’s divisions perform collectively in one show – there is nothing quite like it.”

To further emphasize the performance ‘treat’ the event is free for all! The concert will be held at Lincoln Theater on Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m., and again on Feb. 18, at 3 p.m., and attendees are required to reserve their free tickets in advance.
