Cap and Gown Online Ordering Now Open

Online cap and gown ordering is now open for those planning to graduate in May, and will continue through March 24. Please make sure that you have filed your degree application prior to ordering regalia. If you did not submit your degree application by the Feb. 10 deadline, please review degree application instructions and file immediately. 

Undergraduate degree recipients and master's degree recipients will receive custom University of Hartford "keeper" gowns, which do not need to be returned. These gowns with University of Hartford seals embroidered in red are manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. Doctoral candidates will receive custom rental gowns with hood and keeper tam that will need to be returned to the Campus Store (bookstore).

All graduates will be given a degree-specific color tassel with a University of Hartford "H." Souvenir red-and-white tassels with the 2023 date will be available for purchase ($8). Also available for purchase will be a Stole of Gratitude ($25), giving you the chance to thank those who helped you on your educational journey. Wear it for the ceremony and then present it to the person who helped you make your dream a reality. International stoles are also available ($40) for students who studied abroad or who would like to recognize their home country.

Honor cords may be purchased by eligible undergraduates only (GPA of 3.25 and above) for $10 each.

When ordering regalia, graduates will choose one of two ways to receive their cap and gown:

• Pick up your regalia on campus. Pickup dates will be on May 4 and 5, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Campus Store (bookstore).

• Choose to have your regalia shipped to your home (fee applies as noted below)
