Are you a first-generation college graduate? If so, join us for our inaugural first-generation dinner celebration, Thursday, May 11, at 6:30 p.m., in the 1877 Club. You can register here.
As a first gen student, you are soon to be a part of a community of more than 90,000 UHart alumni worldwide, and a first-generation graduate from your family. As a first-generation alum, you are paving the way for others to follow.
The evening will feature guest speaker and fellow first-generation alumna Lisa Wisniewski D’17. Lisa Wisniewski is a graduate of the Educational Leadership Program and a resident of New Britain, CT. She currently teaches sociology as an associate professor at Goodwin University.
During the event, you will also be presented with a special ‘first generation’ cord that you can wear with your regalia on graduation day. We look forward to celebrating with you!
