Due to an impactful winter storm affecting our area, the University of Hartford will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25, and Monday, Jan. 26. This includes Harrison Libraries.

In-person Hartt School auditions that were scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, have been rescheduled.

The Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, is canceled.

Join the Presidents’ College and Alumni Engagement once again for the Silent Book Club, this time at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford! Bring a favorite book…and perhaps a favorite friend. Thirty minutes to mingle over drinks and hors d’oeuvres. An hour to read quietly in a comfy spot. And a final half-hour to chat with other lovers of the written word – unless your own book keeps you riveted. Co-sponsored by Playhouse on Park and the River Bend Book Shop (book-hunters, their book truck will offer gems to suit your tastes!). Admission includes complimentary wine and cheese and a $5 Riverbend Book Shop gift card.
