UHart Employee Sports Center Usage

July 25, 2023

UHart employees on campus are interested in using the Sports Center, but some have questions regarding previous memberships being offered. We hope the content below can answer your question.

Before COVID, the Sports Center charged memberships to the public and discounted memberships for UHart employees. However, after the pandemic, the University shut down all memberships.

The Sports Center (Fitness Center, Pool, and Intramural/Volleyball Court) is open to use for any UHart employee during the designated hours of operation. No membership is offered, as it was discontinued following COVID-19. A valid ID card is mandatory when checking in at the Sports Center. UHart employees are encouraged to work out in the Fitness Center, swim in the pool, or use the Intramural/Volleyball Gym for Open Court Basketball.

Faculty and staff are not permitted to have guests in the Sports Center. Family members (spouses, children, etc.) cannot use the Sports Center. This includes any children under the age of 18. Alums and previous Community Sports Center Members cannot utilize the Fitness or Sports Center and are encouraged to use local community businesses for fitness opportunities.
