UHart Comfort Canine Teddy on Ch. 3
Public Safety's new comfort canine, Teddy, can be seen across campus any given day, but this week he could also be spotted on WFSB Ch. 3.
Teddy and Officer Michael Calderon, who is the pup's handler, were featured in "Amazing K9 Duos" by Renee DiNino. Public Safety Chief Michael Kaselouskas was also interviewed with the pair at Ch. 3 studios in Rocky Hill.
The black labrador retriever joined the pack at Public Safety a few weeks ago to provide support to students in a variety of ways, from visiting the counseling center to responding to mental health calls, to attending events, and encouraging community members to take a quick break and say hello as they travel across campus.
