Career Lift-Off: A Life Star Simulation

The College of Education, Nursing, and Health Professions respiratory care and nursing programs will be hosting an immersive event in collaboration with Hartford HealthCare: “Career Lift-Off: A Life Star Simulation.”

Featuring a Life Star helicopter, ambulances, and cutting-edge equipment, the simulation will provide a firsthand glimpse into the roles of respiratory therapists, ER nurses, and EMTs, and will highlight the diverse programs offered at UHart. It will be held on April 22 (rain date: April 24), from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., outside the Hursey Center.

Attendees can explore our respiratory care program, participate in our nursing program’s blood pressure clinic, and learn about the EMT profession by walking through an ambulance. Hartford HealthCare representatives will also be on-site to discuss career opportunities including a free CNA program, PCT (patient care technician) opportunities and more.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with health care professionals and experience the exciting world of healthcare! For more information, please contact Karen Griffiths, Program Director of our Respiratory Care Program, at griffiths@hartford.edu.
