Campus Clean Up
- Meet at Millard Circle from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Sign up to help clean up around campus—various areas that are in need of “spring” cleaning will help the environment and provide team building. Please contact Llonia Rojan Jackson at rojanjack@hartford.edu or Angel Alexander at alexander-angel@aramark.com to volunteer.
Electronic Recycling on Campus
- From 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Electronics will be collected for recycling! Students with yellow bins will be stopping by all academic buildings throughout the day.
Student Posters for Earth Day
- On the Library Lawn from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

HEAT Pop-Up
- In GSU from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Stop by to check out the pop-up planned for GSU vending. Come join the HEAT for free eco-friendly items such as tote bags, reusable containers, mason jars, and more!
Weigh the Waste, Plant & Succulent Giveaway, Educational Activities, and Seed Planting
- At the Commons from noon – 1:30 p.m.
- Waste demonstration, plant giveaway, and environmental, educational activities sponsored by Aramark.
- Indigenous Activities (planting native seeds, learning about Indigenous conservation practices) with the Amplifying Indigenous Voices Affinity Network.
Rain Barrel Painting
- On the Library Lawn from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Rain Barrel painting – be part of the beautification of the campus while helping to conserve water. Please contact Ilena Rosenstein at rosenstei@hartford.edu to sign up.
Seed Planting Station
- Meet at the Facilities Operations Building from 9 a.m. to noon.
- The Facilities Department will have a seeding station available for those interested in planting. Please write to facilities@hartford.edu for more information.
