On Friday, April 18, the Barney School of Business inducted 26 students into Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for outstanding business students. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

Rachna Khanna M’03, a Barney Board of Visitors member, was the keynote speaker. Khanna is the founder and managing partner of Rachna Khanna Law, LLC, based in Manchester, Conn. The firm specializes in immigration, naturalization, and small business law, as well as estate planning, personal injury, will planning, criminal defense, trust and estate litigation, and labor and employment law.

After the ceremony and before the lunch networking reception, students took a photo with Khanna outside of Auerbach Hall next to the Beta Gamma Sigma key that was kindly funded by Khanna.

The Mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.
