Sophia Dunn and Melina Neofitos, undergraduate Music Education (Voice Emphasis) majors at The Hartt School, competed in the Connecticut chapter auditions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), held at Eastern Connecticut State University on Sunday, March 8.
Sophia earned First Place in the Lower College Classical division, and Melina was awarded Second Place in the same category. The auditions drew strong competition from voice students across the state.
Both singers received detailed adjudicator feedback and monetary awards, and represented Hartt’s Department of Vocal Studies with distinction. Sophia and Melina study with Lisabeth Miller.
