As this academic year comes to a close, we find ourselves pausing to honor someone who has shaped the heart of the University of Hartford in lasting and meaningful ways.
After eight years of dedicated service, Aaron Isaacs will be concluding his role as Vice President for Student Success and Dean of Students. Throughout his time at UHart, Aaron has led with integrity, compassion, and a strong commitment to students. His steady presence has guided our community through moments of great celebration, institutional growth, and profound challenge, while always centering care, belonging, and the holistic student experience.
Aaron’s legacy is visible across campus in the spaces where students gather and feel at home, in the systems designed to support them from orientation to Commencement, and in the culture of empathy that defines the Division of Student Success. Yet, as Aaron himself has so beautifully expressed, it is the people that he is most grateful for. His leadership has helped cultivate a division that shows up every day for students and for one another with heart, resilience, and purpose.
As Aaron moves into his next chapter, we are grateful for all he has given to this institution and each of us. It is only fitting that we come together, in true Aaron fashion, to celebrate in community.
Please join us for a spring gathering on Thursday, April 30, at 3 p.m. to honor Aaron and his many contributions to the University of Hartford. True to his student-centered style, Aaron has asked that we celebrate together while cheering on our Hawks at a home softball game. We’ll enjoy the game, share memories, and say thank you. And we'll enjoy some ballpark bites served from our new mobile kitchen!
Whether you worked closely with Aaron over the years or simply benefited from his leadership and care, we hope you’ll join us for this relaxed, fun send-off. Let’s fill the stands, celebrate community, and show our appreciation together!
