The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that, after a nationwide search, it has named Kristin Landis-Piwowar, PhD, as the next dean of its College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions.
Landis-Piwowar, a senior academic leader with a background in health care, comes to UHart from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, where she most recently held the roles of vice provost of academic affairs and acting dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
“It is a privilege to join the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions and to become part of a community so deeply committed to student success and professional excellence,” said Landis-Piwowar. “I’m inspired by ENHP’s strong foundation and look forward to working together to shape its next chapter, one that strengthens our impact across education, nursing, and the health professions, and meaningfully serves the region and its evolving needs.”
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the search committee for their great care and thoughtful deliberations throughout the entire process,” said Katherine Black, provost and vice president for academic affairs. A special thank you to Jess Nicklin for her leadership of this important search. I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to Brian Swanson, who has capably served as interim dean this academic year. We owe Brian a debt of gratitude for his dedication and commitment to UHart, ENHP, and our students.”
