Minor in Italian
The minor in Italian gives you a rich foundation in grammar, pronunciation and culture, and is a strong complement to any area of study.
About the Minor
The curriculum is based on the development of valuable speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills that enable you to effectively communicate in social and professional settings.

A total of 18 credits is required for the Italian minor.
You must earn a total of 15 credits from a list of Italian courses. Examples include:
- Elementary Italian II
- Intermediate Italian I
- Introduction to Italian Culture
- Studies in Italian Culture
The Italian minor requires the completion of one of the following 3 credit courses:
- Integrative Capstone: Comparative Literature and Critical Theories
- Special Topics in Modern Languages and Cultures
