Barney Students Explore Boston on Corporate Visit Day

38 students from the Barney School of Business traveled to Boston for an immersive Corporate Visit Day, gaining firsthand exposure to industry leaders, alumni, and one of the country’s most innovative business ecosystems on Wednesday, April 8. Throughout the day, students were encouraged to engage professionally, dressed in business attire, prepared with questions, and ready to network. Corporate Visit Day provided Barney students with a meaningful opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experience, build professional connections, and explore the dynamic business landscape of Boston.

Student-Run Career Ready Closet Featured on NBC CT

Barney School of Business students have opened the Career Ready Closet, offering fellow University of Hartford students the chance to rent professional attire for free. Students from all majors and schools and colleges can frequent the closet, which is run by the Barney Leadership Council.

Stanley Black & Decker Launches UHart Scholars Program

Stanley Black & Decker is providing scholarships, mentoring programs, early career opportunities, and more to University of Hartford business students through a new scholars program. The “Be a Force for Good Scholarship” initiative will provide a total of $600,000 in scholarships over four years to UHart’s Stanley Black & Decker Scholars.

Elijah Faust ‘25, M’26

Management Major and MBA Student,

Elijah Faust ‘25, M’26 is on an ambitious path, pursuing both his undergraduate degree in management and a Master of Business Administration through the University of Hartford’s 3+1 program. Last summer, Faust completed a transformative 10-week internship with Albertsons Companies in its supply chain management department in Methuen, Massachusetts. All his hard work and dedication paid off: he was offered a role as a supply chain transportation supervisor upon graduation, where he will oversee logistics and optimize transportation processes for the company.
