Community Events
Tuesday, Feb. 3 @ 12:45 p.m. in Lincoln Theater– The University of Hartford invites you to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s theme is "Strength to Love, Courage to Act". Inspired by Dr. King's seminal work Strength to Love, the 2026 observance centers on his charge to lead with compassion, moral courage, and an unwavering commitment to justice. The theme underscores the importance of love in action—love that strengthens communities, confronts inequity, and empowers individuals to act with purpose and conviction.
Try a single lecture or a 2-4 session non-credit course. Taught by stimulating UHart professors and community experts, our selection of courses is sure to intrigue you. Stay current on the latest in artificial intelligence, climate change research, or cases being argued before the Supreme Court. Get behind the scenes with opera, concerts, and plays; then attend a performance with us. Discuss the history and politics shaping our nation and world.
