For Students

As a current student, connecting and networking with alumni has tons of benefits! Building relationships with UHart alumni as a student means you can:

  • Learn more about life after college and the transition to the “real world.”
  • Open up more opportunities for yourself by networking with alumni working in your field.
  • Attend fun, exciting events and meet new people.
  • Receive expert advice from alumni regarding life skills, building your career, and more.

FOUR EASY WAYS YOU CAN PARTICIPATE AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH UHART'S AMAZING ALUMNI:

Student Alumni Ambassadors is a student volunteer group that works to enhance the UHart experience on campus, and bridge the gap between students and alumni. By joining SAA, you can be involved with a great group of people, get career advice, help plan student events or attend alumni events, and more.

In the days leading up to Hawktober Weekend, Hawktober Week is a series of fun events hosted by SAA and the Hawktober Week Committee. Take part in these exciting events, make new friends, and celebrate traditions that will form bonds with students and alumni alike! If you're interested in taking a role in planning Hawktober Week, join SAA and email Brittany Guarna at guarna@hartford.edu.

Mark your calendars for TAG Day 2018 on Tuesday, March 6.
Held every year in March, TAG Day was created to thank and recognize UHart's donors for all they make possible. Donors support everything from scholarships to dorms to facilities like classrooms, labs, and the library. TAG Day is an opportunity for students to give back and say “Thank you!” to our donors.

Students can participate in the UHart Career Mentoring Program to network with alumni, learn more about your intended career path, and gain crucial life skills! Contact us to learn more.
