The University of Hartford is celebrating the grand opening of the Francis X. and Nancy Hursey Center for Advanced Engineering and Health Professions, a new 60,000-square-foot academic building in the academic quad. The Hursey Center houses new, specialized, and technology-rich facilities for growing programs in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture; and the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions.

The Hursey Center provides the space and equipment for innovative teaching and learning to take place as students prepare to enter high-growth industries, including aerospace, nursing, robotics, and physical therapy. Upon graduation, these students will be ready to meet Connecticut’s demand for professionals in these and other fields.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to an Open House on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2–3 p.m.
