Student Centers and Spaces
At UHart, we recognize the importance of creating student connections. Outside the classroom, there are many ways to engage with peers in our student centers across campus. Our student centers, University Commons, Gengras Student Union (GSU), and the Konover Great Room are a perfect space to host your next upcoming event.
Check Out Our Student Centers
GSU is the heart of the UHart community. It is our main conference building with nine different event spaces to host your next event. The Gengras Café is the perfect place to grab lunch with two restaurant stations that cycle weekly, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and a salad bar that are available throughout the year.
University Commons is the home to our main dining hall and Student Centers’ Private Dining Room. This space provides the perfect atmosphere for casual or working lunches. Enjoy a buffet-style meal or sweet treat from Park River Bakery during the academic year with a wide variety of cuisines available.
The Konover Campus Center is an ideal location for your mid-size events. The Great Room can fit over 150 people in our banquet and theater layouts. Getting a quick snack or beverage couldn’t be easier with a Subway and Village Market adjacent to the room, allowing your attendees to step away when they may need to.
Empowered Leaders is a program that pushes student organization leaders to be the best that they can be. Our student leaders will learn how to Emerge, Engage, Excite, and Envision a better student life for the UHart community.
To reserve space on-campus, students must complete the Empowered Leaders four step training modules.
Reserve An Event Space
If you are a UHart student or employee and would like to reserve a space to host a meeting, program, or an event, there is space in our buildings that can serve that purpose.
When you are looking for a space, please remember to:
Complete the "Empowered Leaders" training to submit an Event Registration Form on the UHart Hub. Organization leaders that have not completed the training will not be able to host an event on campus. Student events will be added to 25Live on your club or organizations behalf.Complete Your Event Form
Reserve space for internal department related meetings or private events using 25Live. If you are hosting an event for students, please use the UHart Hub Event Registration Form to reserve your event space. Please check the space availability before requesting a space.Reserve Space on 25Live
Students must complete an Assumption of Risk form for each student attending an off-campus event. All forms can be submitted through your UHart Hub Event Registration form.
Faculty, staff, and student organization advisors must complete a Clery - Student Trip Reporting Form with Public Safety before taking students on an overnight off-campus trip.
