Applied Assistant Professor of Engineering Phil Faraci '89 Judges at CT STEM Science Fair

Applied Assistant Professor of Engineering Phil Faraci ’89 recently participated as a judge at the Connecticut STEM Science Fair on Feb. 8. To participate as a judge at the event, individuals must have a background in one of the sciences, engineering or mathematics areas. This was his third year participating in the STEM fair as a judge and encourages other University faculty to participate in the future.

 

The CT STEM Fair is sponsored by the Connecticut STEM Foundation. The event was founded in 2001 and has grown rapidly over the last 19 years here in the state. It is open to all Connecticut high school students, with typically over 200 students that participate. Students showcase their original research and have an opportunity to receive awards.

 

The Connecticut STEM Foundation’s mission is to foster interest among all Connecticut high school students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by providing experiences for them to present their original research and interact with like-minded students and professionals.
