K Visitor Lot Is Closed. Where Should Visitors Park?

K Visitor Lot near Hartford Art School is closed due to construction of our new academic building. The temporary loss of this lot until approximately fall 2021 will affect campus-wide parking, especially when there are events that visitors to campus will attend. 

Visitors arriving for admission tours who find J Lot full across from Bates House will be directed to A Lot. 

Any faculty or staff member planning an event in the coming months should be sure to complete the Public Safety Special Event Form before promoting the event. After completing the form, you will receive information on where attendees should park and this information can be included in your promotional information. 

If your event requires attendees to pre-register, you can request, when completing the Public Safety Special Event Form, a parking permit that can be emailed to and printed by registered attendees. The permit shows the parking lot where attendees should park and includes a map. 

As you schedule meetings with individuals on campus, you can request a visitor parking pass in advance at Public Safety request form for individual visitors so the visitor can park in any available non-reserved space .Without a parking pass, they can park in designated visitor spaces around campus.
