Hawks Vote 2020: Your Voice Is Important

September 10, 2020
Submitted By: Lisa Cote

Fellow Hawks,

Have your voice heard and register to vote in the 2020 Election!

A comprehensive Hawks Vote webpage containing information about registration drives, voting rights, absentee ballots, and more is available for reference. The campus community should use this resource as a trusted and valid source for voter information.

The Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion continues to host voter registration drives to register students, faculty, and staff in time for the November 3 election.

Save these remaining dates for our voter registration drives:

October

  • Wednesday, Oct. 7, 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. I KF Room, Mortensen Library
  • Friday, Oct. 9, noon–3 p.m. I GSU Hawk Lounge
  • Wednesday, Oct. 14, noon–3 p.m. I GSU Hawk Lounge
  • Thursday, Oct.15, 5–8 p.m. I Outside Commons
  • Monday, Oct. 19, noon–3 p.m. I GSU Hawk Lounge

Hawks Vote will be the only authorized voter registration initiative on campus and all drives will be clearly marked as Hawks Vote, including through signage and staff apparel. In the past, unauthorized off-campus groups and on-campus organizations have hosted independent registration drives, which resulted in missing registrations and some registrants being incorrectly registered and unable to vote. Please help us! If you are aware of a non-Hawks Vote registration opportunity on the University of Hartford campus, please contact the Office of Public Safety.

Help share the news about Hawks Vote and the importance of voting!

For questions please contact the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion at sei@hartford.edu.

Sincerely,

Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion
