Vaccination Clinic for UHart Students

Our partners at Hartford HealthCare are offering the first dose of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine at two clinics at the XFINITY Theatre in Hartford. The clinics, which are open exclusively to UHart students, will be held on Monday, April 19, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., and Tuesday, April 20, 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.).

Please note: if you get vaccinated at these clinics, you would be due to get your second dose on May 10 or 11. Hartford HealthCare will help you make that second appointment and we will also run shuttles to those clinics. Please review your schedule for finals to make sure those dates will fit into your academic and travel schedules.

At this time, vaccines are not mandatory, but we strongly encourage everyone in our community to get vaccinated to protect themselves and each other, and to help us return to a more traditional college experience.

Scheduling a Vaccine Appointment

You will need an active Hartford HealthCare MyChartPlus account. Please click here to access MyChartPlus. If you do not have a MyChartPlus account, you can sign up online via Hartford HealthCare. Click here for instructions on how to activate an account.

If you have questions about using MyChartPlus, you can call the support line at 860.972.4993 or email mychartplussupport@hhchealth.org.

Once logged into MyChart:

Click “Make an Appointment” and select COVID Vaccine
Answer the questions displayed on the screen. One of the questions will be: “Have you been provided with an event ID for vaccination at a specific clinic site?” Please respond “Yes” to this question. Continue entering the questions as displayed.
Please select the organization or school that provided you an event code. If organization is not listed, please select “Other."
Enter the Event ID you received in your email on April 14.

We are still in communication with other providers in hopes of scheduling additional vaccination opportunities for students. If we do schedule other clinics, we will share that information as soon as we can.

Getting to Your Appointment

The XFINITY Theatre is located at 61 Savitt Way in Hartford, a 15-minute drive from campus. We are offering a shuttle service for those students without cars or who don’t have the opportunity to ride with a friend or a ridesharing service. The shuttles will depart Konover every 45 minutes using the following schedule:

Monday, April 19

First departure from Konover: 8:30 a.m.
Last departure from Konover: 4 p.m.
Last departure from XFINITY Theatre: 5 p.m., or until all students are done with their vaccinations and wait periods.

Tuesday, April 20

First departure from Konover: 11 a.m.
Last departure from Konover 6:30 p.m.
Last departure from XFINITY Theatre: 7:30 p.m., or until all students are done with their vaccinations and wait periods.
