Remembering Bob Wallace

Robert Wallace, professor emeritus of psychology and biology, died on Tuesday, May 25. 

Wallace joined the University of Hartford in 1968 as assistant professor of psychology, and became professor of psychology and biology in 1980. He served as chair of the Department of Psychology from 1986 to 1992 and chair of the Department of Biology from 1994 to 2000.

A familiar voice convening UHart's Commencement exercises over a span of two decades, Wallace served as University Marshal from 1980 to 2000. He was an active member and past chair of the Emeriti Association.

Calling hours will be held at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, Conn., on Wednesday, June 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at Avon Congregational Church, 6 West Main Street, Avon, Conn., on Thursday, June 3, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield, Mass.
