The World Series: A Short History
The Presidents' College invites you to join baseball scholar and aficionado Walter Harrison to hear about the roots and favorite moments of the World Series since its beginnings in 1903, including a scandal or two. A bit of history, a chance to situate the World Series in American culture, and a lot of fun. We’ll finish up by watching Game #2 of the 2021 World Series together, complete with the ball park snacks and rousing rivalries we missed out on in stadiums last season. We look forward to cheering with you in person!
Thursday Oct. 21, from 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: A Short History of the World Series, Greenberg Center
Wednesday Oct. 27, from Pre-Game: 7:30 p.m.; Play Ball: 8 p.m., Shaw Center, Hillyer Hall
