February 28, 2022
Submitted By: Diane Verrochi

Something we all have in common, regardless of religion or spiritual path, is that we are all aging. Religious and spiritual beliefs are an important aspect of our culture, a foundation of values, and give meaning to life. In this presentation, we will explore the role of spirituality and religious practices in ensuring the highest quality of life throughout the aging process.

Join the Interfaith Affinity Group on Friday, March 4, at 2 p.m. via Zoom for a guest speaker who has insights to share on how we can both support and learn from the older adults in our personal and professional lives in the realm of religion and spirituality. Topics will include how we define religion, spirituality, interfaith, and multifaith as well as various spiritual and religious belief systems and practices.

Our speaker, Timothy W. Anderson, M.Ed., ACC/EDU, CPC, BM has been working in the field of senior engagement since 2007. He began his work using music engagement such as drumming, rhythm band, sing-along, and tone-chime activities for clients with dementia at an Alzheimer’s specific Adult Day Program. He later established a music services company for clients in adult day, assisted living, and senior center settings. He is also the co-founder of Temenos Oikidios, a temple for Hellenic Polytheists.
