Helping Hawks Annual Day of Service

March 28, 2022
Submitted By: Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion

Helping Hawks is UHart’s annual day of service, when the UHart community and alumni volunteer to serve a wide range of non-profit organizations in the Greater Hartford Area.

This year, in consideration of health and safety, we are taking a different, but no less effective, approach to Helping Hawks. On Monday, March 28, we are commencing a week of philanthropy, including raising funds for local non-profits, collecting items for the relief efforts in Ukraine, and other important causes identified by students.

The week will end with Helping Hawks Day of Service on Friday, April 1. Join us in GSU North Café where donors will be treated to a complimentary breakfast, and receive a Helping Hawks Day t-shirt. Student Government Association President, Valentina Jimenez, Director of Cultural Diversity and Belonging, and the Dean of Students, will remark on the significance of the day.

Look for the donation table in Hawk Lounge to find out about the causes you can support.
