The Connecticut American Council on Education Women’s Network is hosting "The Year of WoMEn" virtual conference this Friday, April 22, 9 a.m. – noon. The agenda includes phenomenal speakers who will discuss well-being and empowerment.

"Headstrong: Surviving and Reshaping My Life," keynote address by Dr. JoAnne Silver Jones, professor emeritus from Springfield College

“Growth in Your Career” presented by Dr. Lisa M. Wisniewski, associate professor of sociology at Goodwin University

“Women Entrepreneurs, Equip Yourselves, by Identifying Harmful Language in Verbal and Written Communication," presented by Traci Talbert, M.S., founder of the African American Female Professor Awards Association, Racial Justice Community Engagement leader, and adjunct professor

“To and From Exit Zero: The Professional Journey,” presented by Dr. Sharale W. Mathis, vice president of Academic and Student Affairs at Holyoke Community College

“Stepping Out into Yourself,” presented by Leslie Gomez, owner of LMG Photography, LLC, brand photographer and visibility coach; and Dr. Tracy Tyree, vice president for Student Affairs at Southern Connecticut State University

The CT ACE Women’s Network is a network of women-identified administrators, faculty, and professionals in higher education—connected by the common goal to advance and support women in higher education.
