Remembering Mary Carsky

Mary Carsky, a Barney School of Business faculty member from 1989 to 2006, died on Thursday, June 2.

Carsky arrived at UHart as an assistant professor of marketing in August 1989, became associate professor of marketing in 1999, and then was named professor of marketing in 2002.

Following her retirement, she served on the Benefits Task Force, representing retirees. She was also a member of the Emeriti Association.

During her academic career, Carsky served on the faculty of a number of other area colleges, including the University of New Haven, University of Connecticut, and Eastern Connecticut State University.

Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a funeral service beginning at noon, at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
