Political Science Professor Provides Analysis for Primaries

August was a busy time for candidates in this year’s primaries. But it was also a busy time for Bilal Sekou, associate professor of political science at the University of Hartford. The Hillyer College professor lent his expertise to media outlets across the state, providing analysis and context to this year’s races. Sekou was featured on Fox 61 the entire morning of primary day on Aug. 9, and then spent the next morning discussing results on WICC 600 radio. He was then featured in continuing coverage by the Hartford Courant. A known political expert at UHart and across the state, Sekou is a go-to source when it comes to elections and is chair of the advisor board for Common Cause in Connecticut for work on election reforms.
