Alum Phillip Boykin to Perform Oct. 20

An alumnus of The Hartt School returns to the stage at the University of Hartford Thursday, Oct. 20: Phillip Boykin, bass-baritone, will be performing in the Richard P. Garmany Chamber Music Series’ 14th season. 

He is currently featured in the Broadway revival of “The Music Man, and received a 2022 Anchor Award from UHart. Boykin also is a recipient of Hartt’s 2015 Alumni Award, and a 1995 graduate of Hartt who earned his bachelor’s degree in vocal performance.

Since its founding in 2009, The Garmany Chamber Music Series has established itself as one of The Hartt School's signature activities. The series is recognized as one of Connecticut's premier live music attractions, presenting four concerts annually, and is dedicated to bringing the widest possible range of distinguished small ensembles and recitalists to the UHart campus.
