A blizzard warning is now in effect for our area. The University campus has closed as of 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, Feb. 22. This includes the Sports Center and Harrison Libraries.

UHart will remain closed on Monday, Feb. 23. There will be no in-person classes held on Monday. Please note that when a campus closing prevents an in-person class from meeting at its scheduled time, faculty may opt to conduct classes or provide assignments online. Students should check Blackboard and their email regularly on such days to learn of any alternate arrangements. Online and remote courses are not affected by campus closings and meet as scheduled.

The University of Hartford is once again ranked in the U.S. News and World Report 2022-2023 Best Colleges list, and is also celebrating recognition of its engineering and business programs.

In the newly released listings, UHart is ranked in the National Universities classification after U.S. News and World Report examined 443 schools that also offer master’s and doctoral programs in addition to a wide variety of undergraduate majors. The rankings consider 17 different measures of academic quality.

Engineering at UHart’s College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture was noted to be one of the best undergraduate engineering programs in the country, while Barney School of Business was highlighted as also offering students an exceptional undergraduate business experience.

The business and engineering rankings are based on responses and survey results from deans and senior faculty members at peer institutions, with 516 peer schools assessing business programs and 230 evaluating engineering.
